The point that Sharad Pawar said was that “they did not have political discussions in the meeting.”

The head of the NCP-SCP also visited with Jagdeep Dhankhar, the chairman of the Rajya Sabha and vice president, and gave him pomegranates.

“Shri Sharad Pawar ji, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) called on Hon’ble Vice-President and Chairman, Rajya Sabha, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar at Parliament House today,” the Vice-President of India wrote on X.

Following a significant defeat in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) called this conference.

The Mahayuti coalition, headed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), won 235 seats in the elections, giving them a resounding victory. With 132 seats, the BJP became the single-largest party, marking a major turning point in the election.

Notable victories were also achieved by the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Shiv Sena, who took home 41 and 57 seats, respectively.

With just 16 seats won by the Congress, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) suffered a significant defeat. The NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) only achieved 10 seats, while its coalition partner, Shiv Sena (UBT), took home 20 seats.
