Naxalites strangled a woman to death in Chhattisgarh on suspicion of being a police informer
According to police authorities on Saturday, a lady in Chattisgarh’s Bijapur district was strangled to death by Naxalites who believed she was a police informant.
The lady was an Aganwadi worker named Laxmi Padam. The authorities claim that her corpse was dumped into the courtyard.
The police also said they discovered a booklet published by the Communist Party of India Marxist’s Madayi Area Committee, a banned group, near the location where they suspected the lady of being a police informer.
The attackers are being investigated in order to capture them.
According to the police, a District Reserve Guard (DRG) head constable was killed earlier in the Abujhmarh jungle in the Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh during a confrontation with the Naxalites.
Birendra Kumar Sori has been recognized by the police as the dead head constable.
