Munavvar Farooqui is on Lawrence Bishnoi’s hit list
Munawar Faruqui, a stand-up comedian and Bigg Boss 17 winner, is the subject of a major security worry when it was revealed that gang members from Lawrence Bishnoi tried to attack him in Delhi earlier this month. Mumbai Police have increased his protection as a precaution after this incident.
Senior Mumbai Police acknowledged, “We have given him protection,” but there made no formal connection between the threats and any particular organization. The threat against Munawar, who has become even more well-known as a result of presenting Playground season 4, is said to have started when gang members followed him around Delhi and even reserved a room at the same hotel where he was staying for a September event.
The intelligence community’s prompt action in warning the authorities about the intended assault allowed them to foil the scheme. Munawar’s safety was ensured by his prompt evacuation from the event and his return to Mumbai under police protection.
According to a Times of India story, a source said that particular information discovered during the course of an inquiry into the murder of Delhi industrialist Nadir Shah was what spurred the boost in security.
The case’s apprehended shooter said that the group had spied on Munawar when he was staying at a hotel in Delhi with the intention of attacking the comic. Munawar traveled to Delhi for an occasion when she met fellow social media star Elvish Yadav.
The information caused the Special Cell of Delhi Police to take immediate action, giving Munawar’s safety first priority and informing Mumbai Police of the threat. Mumbai Police immediately increased the comedian’s security measures.
The Mumbai Police are still quite concerned about Munawar’s safety, even though they haven’t formally verified a connection between the threats and the Bishnoi gang. As the inquiry progresses, officials continue to monitor the situation and make sure the comedian is kept under close observation.
