Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi criticised actor Salman Khan for wearing a ‘Ram Edition’ watch
Bareilly: Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Bareilvi, the president of the All India Muslim Jamaat, has criticized Bollywood star Salman Khan for wearing a Ram Janmabhoomi watch, claiming that it is against Islamic law to promote non-Islamic symbols.

“Salman Khan, a well-known Muslim figure in India, has worn a watch called ‘Ram Edition’ to promote the Ram temple,” Bareilvi told the media report. I want to be clear that promoting non-Islamic organizations or religious symbols is not acceptable (haram) for any Muslim, even Salman Khan.
He also counseled the actor to seek forgiveness, honor Shariah, and adhere to its precepts.

Such behavior is unacceptable and prohibited. The offender should make sure they don’t make the same mistake again and ask for forgiveness (toba). Salman Khan should adhere to the norms of Shariah, the Islamic legal code, Bareilvi said.
The preacher said that it was improper to wear and promote the “Ram Edition” watch, as it amounted to supporting non-Islamic religious symbols.
“It is unacceptable and prohibited by Islamic law to wear and promote the ‘Ram Edition’ watch, as it is equivalent to endorsing idols or non-Islamic religious symbols. “He should ask for forgiveness and not do this,” Bareilvi remarked. In a recent Instagram picture, Salman Khan was seen sporting the “Ram Edition” watch.
When Salman Khan was promoting his next movie, Sikandar, his limited-edition Ram Janmabhoomi watch attracted notice. He was seen wearing the watch, which has an orange band and a sleek gold dial, in an Instagram post about the movie.
The case of the limited-edition watch is intricately engraved with motifs related to the Ram Janmabhoomi. An intricate sculpture of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple has been painstakingly carved on the dial. Inscriptions of Hindu deities may also be seen on the bezel and dial.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted the principal rites at the ‘Pran Patishtha’ event held on January 22 of last year at the Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir. Arun Yogiraj, a well-known Karnataka sculptor, created the idol of Ram Lalla. The idol, which is 51 inches tall and weighs 1.5 tons, shows Shree Ram standing on a lotus made of the same stone at the age of five.
