Many trains going to New Delhi Railway Station were delayed due to heavy fog and poor visibility
New Delhi: On Saturday, severe fog and poor visibility in the northern Indian states caused many trains headed for the New Delhi railway station to be delayed.
The Grand Trunk Express, Andhra Pradesh Express, Vande Bharat Express, and Jammu Rajdhani were among the trains that experienced delays.
The heavy fog earlier today also affected the timetables of planes departing from the city and other Northern areas.
For the same reason, Indigo Airlines issued an alert.
The airline posted about the present fog conditions in North India on social media.

The national capital’s air quality remained in the “very poor” range. The Central Pollution Control Board reports that around 6 a.m. today, the AQI in Delhi was 385. It was 348 yesterday at the same time.
Many homeless persons were seen sleeping at night shelters as the hard winter persisted.
Images that surfaced revealed that Lodhi Road’s night shelters were fully populated.
Residents of the capital were spotted congregating around bonfires in reaction to the cold weather, and as the temperature continued to drop, some sought refuge in night houses.
