Twelve people have been rescued so far, according to police reports, but the BJP MP said that an estimated 20 people may still be trapped under the fallen structure. Additionally, he said that one girl’s health was “very serious” after her rescue.
“The structure had four stories and the work was finished. The POP work for completion was in progress. Twenty to twenty-two persons were trapped, according to police accounts. Twelve individuals have been saved. Tiwari informed reporters that the NDRF was present at the location.
He went on to say that there is “no doubt” that someone was negligent in causing this catastrophe.
“There is unquestionably a great deal of negligence. A brand-new, four-story structure has fallen… “Whoever is at fault will not escape punishment,” he told the media report.
Around 6:30 p.m. on Monday, the four-story structure in Kaushik Enclave, Burari, fell. At 6:58 p.m., police reported receiving a call about the incident.
“One female child’s condition is so bad… According to Tiwari, the remaining individuals have been taken to the hospital and are safe.
He questioned the building’s quality, saying that although a catastrophe like this raises many concerns, ensuring everyone’s safety comes first.
“Many doubts are raised by the collapse of a four-story structure after construction was finished. He also called for punishment against those guilty for the collapse, saying, “Whoever is responsible will not be spared…but right now our priority is to rescue all the people.” The police and NDRF have said that there is a chance that several people are still stranded.
Atishi, the chief minister of Delhi, told the public earlier today that all assistance would be provided to those who were impacted and directed the local government to guarantee prompt relief and rescue efforts for those who were thought to be stuck.
The CM commented on X to reassure people, saying, “This building fall tragedy in Burari is really terrible. In order to guarantee prompt relief and rescue efforts, I have spoken with the local government. The impacted individuals will get all assistance imaginable.”
