Maharashtra: Three people died, nine injured in a gas leak incident at a pharmaceutical company in Sangli

According to an official, a gas leak event at a pharmaceutical plant in Sangli district resulted in the deaths of three persons, including two women and a watchman, and the injuries of nine others.

According to authorities, one of the wounded, the plant owner, is in severe condition and is receiving treatment at a hospital.

The event happened on Thursday evening at Shalgaon MIDC in the Sangli district’s Kadegaon tehsil. To look into the situation, a forensic team is present at the scene.

Police believe a technical malfunction caused a reactor to detonate. Investigations are still under progress.
