Maharashtra Elections: Congress party’s Yugendra Pawar says MVA will win significant victory with 175 or 180 seats
Pune: Yugendra Pawar, the Nationalist Congress Party’s (Sharad Chandra Pawar faction) candidate for the Baramati seat ahead of the Maharashtra assembly elections, said on Monday that he was certain the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition will gain a sizable majority, with about 175 or 180 seats.
In addition, Pawar said that the Mahayuti coalition will not win 175 seats in the assembly elections.
“I doubt that Mahayuti will be granted 175 seats. Perhaps 175 or 180 seats would be awarded to the Maha Vikas Aghadi. We will find out the precise margin on November 23.It will be our victory.Water is a major problem. Corruption, rising crime rates, and unemployment are all significant problems, and we will address them all.Speaking to a media report, he said, “The nation as a whole has always been secular.
In Baramati, Yugendra Pawar will face his uncle, Ajit Pawar, a well-known NCP politician, in one of the most anticipated contests of these elections. Ajit Pawar’s younger brother, Shrinivas Pawar, is the father of Yugendra.
In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Baramati also garnered notice as Sunetra Pawar faced off against Supriya Sule, who won by a margin of 1.5 lakh votes.
In Maharashtra, political campaigning is intensifying as the election date draws closer.
In an attempt to regain control of the state, the opposition MVA coalition—which consists of the Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and Nationalist Congress Party (SCP)—will take against the Mahayuti alliance, which is made up of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Ajit Pawar-led NCP, and the Shiv Sena, headed by Eknath Shinde.
Votes will be tallied on November 23 after the Maharashtra Assembly elections, which are scheduled for November 20.
The Congress won 44 seats, the Shiv Sena 56, and the BJP 105 in the 2019 Maharashtra assembly elections. In 2014, the Congress won 42 seats, the Shiv Sena 63, and the BJP 122.
