Prayagraj: Devotees are swarming to the Triveni Sangam to take part in the Mahakumbh as one of the biggest religious events takes place in Prayagraj.
There are still a number of Mahakumbh Mela activities happening. At the MahaKumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj, Yog Guru Baba Ramdev led a free yoga treatment and meditation camp.
Arriving at Yog Guru Baba Ramdev’s free yoga therapy and meditation camp on the 7th was Kyabje Yongzin Ling Rinpoche.
According to a statement from the Mahakumbh Media Centre, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Prayagraj for a day today in order to participate in the Mahakumbh Mela 2025.
The statement said that Shah would take a sacred bath at the Triveni Sangam after arriving in Prayagraj on Monday at 11:25 AM. After that, he would go to Abhayvat and the Bade Hanuman Ji Temple.
The minister will next go to Juna Akhara, where he will have lunch with the Maharaj and other Akharan saints.
In addition, he has appointments with the Shankaracharyas of Sringeri, Puri, and Dwaraka, as well as trips to Guru Sharananand Ji’s Ashram, where he will see Guru Sharananand Ji and Govind Giri Ji Maharaj.
More than 110 million devotees have already taken a holy bath in the hallowed waters of Prayagraj during the first 14 days of Mahakumbh, which began on January 13 with the auspicious Paush Purnima.
Bageshwar Dham Chief Dhirendra Krishna Shastri visited Parmarth Niketan Ashram President Swami Chidanand Saraswati earlier on Sunday at the current spiritual event known as the Mahakumbh Mela.
Bageshwar Dham Chief Shastri said, “This is a Sangam of Triveni, of saints, devotees, masters, and masters and devotees… Swami Chidanand Maharaj is holding a Mahasangam of all the saints in Mahakumbh…”
“A Dharm Sansad for the country and the awakening of Hindutva will take place on January 30th. It is a singular sensation that is unimaginable. Even if some of them lack facilities, all of the saints and Mahatmas here are chanting, “He told the media report.
Olympic medalist and legendary boxer MC Mary Kom also expressed her joy at being able to take part in the Mahakumbh.
“Being able to participate in this Kumbh Mela makes me extremely pleased. “I can’t express how wonderful the arrangements are,” Mary Kom told reporters.
In addition, Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party (SP), visited Prayagraj on Sunday and took a sacred plunge in Mahakumbh.
After taking a holy plunge, Yadav told reporters, “People come here with their faith. I made eleven holy dips. Negative and polarizing politics have no place here. It was a celebration the day I went swimming in Haridwar. I had the chance to take a holy bath here today.
Every twelve years, the Mahakumbh is celebrated, and from January 13 to February 26, Prayagraj is anticipated to see a massive influx of pilgrims.
The sacred plunge at the Sangam, which is the meeting point of the Ganga, Yamuna, and now-extinct Saraswati rivers, is said to atone for sins and provide moksha (freedom).
The event, which has its roots in Sanatan Dharma, represents a heavenly alignment that brings forth a favorable time for devotion and spiritual purification. Over 45 crore people are anticipated to attend the Mahakumbh Mela, which would be a historic event for India.
