Maha Kumbh 2025 proved to be a life-changing experience for many youth who participated in this grand festival
Prayagraj: For many young people who attended the major celebration, the Mahakumbh 2025 has turned out to be a life-altering event. They had an incredible sensation of pleasure, calm, and enlightenment as they fully submerged themselves in the spiritual milieu.

The Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, is attracting devotees of all ages from all across India with every day that goes by. Particularly after a plunge in the Sangam, the frigid winter and little hardships are no longer an obstacle. Devotees claim that it cures all of their problems and gives them tranquility.
The frigid temperature first made Chandigarh resident Binika Thakur, who traveled to Prayagraj early on Monday with her family, reluctant to go swimming. She mustered the bravery to take the plunge, however, and emerged feeling much better.
“We got here around four in the morning. Together, our whole family went for a holy plunge. It was so satisfying. We first believed that since it was chilly, we wouldn’t be able to accomplish it. However, it felt better when we entered. This was very satisfying. It doesn’t feel hard to accomplish anything for God. Before the vacation began, I was thrilled, but we had difficulties getting here. Ultimately, everything went well,” Binika told the media report.
Following the holy plunge, Sumit Kumar, who is also from Chandigarh, shared her thoughts, saying, “It felt so good after taking a holy dip.” It was serene. Everything went well. We’re thrilled.”
Over 130.2 million devotees have already taken a holy bath in the hallowed waters of Prayagraj during the first 15 days of the Mahakumbh, which began on January 13 with the auspicious Paush Purnima.
Shagun from Himachal also reported feeling calmer after the drop. “The Mahakumbh is no longer a state-specific event; people are coming from all over India to participate,” she said.
“It was very satisfying. It was soothing.People are coming here to take a holy bath from various places. There is a lot of excitement among people since something has finally come after a lengthy wait. For our age, this is fantastic,” remarked Shagun from Himachal Pradesh.
“I arrived here last evening and stayed here overnight,” said Sonu Kumar Yadav, a visitor from Jharkhand. Even at night, there was a sizable audience here. At 4 am, I went for a holy dip.
Up till 8 am today, more than 4.664 million devotees have already taken a holy bath at Triveni Sangam, demonstrating their dedication and interest in seeing such a gathering after many years.
At the Sangam, there are also more than a million Kalpwasis. The Kalpawasis are those who eat just once a day and adhere to a rigid diet.
The sacred plunge at the Sangam, which is the meeting point of the Ganga, Yamuna, and now-extinct Saraswati rivers, is said to atone for sins and provide moksha (freedom).
The event, which has its roots in Sanatan Dharma, represents a heavenly alignment that brings forth a favorable time for devotion and spiritual purification. Over 45 crore people are anticipated to attend the Mahakumbh Mela, which would be a historic event for India.
