Earlier, women took part in a special Ganga Aarti at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, the ceremony functioned as a practice for the next Kumbh Mela.

“A unique aarti was done today. The Kumbh Mela was being practiced. Triveni Aarti will be performed by the boys, while Ganga Aarti will be performed by the females. We hope that everyone is inspired to see these kids perform the Aarti. Pradeep Pandey and Prayagraj Teerth Purohit told ANI, “We want to convey the message that Sanatana Dharma has no boundaries.”

After twelve years, the Maha Kumbh is being held, and from January 13 to February 26, Prayagraj is anticipated to see a large number of people. On January 14th (Makar Sankranti), January 29th (Mauni Amavasya), and February 3rd (Basant Panchami), the principal bathing ceremonies, called Shahi Snan (royal baths), will be held.

The district government has been taking significant measures to protect the devotees from accidents, particularly with regard to crowd control and preventing fire occurrences.

Ahead of the Maha Kumbh festivities, the district government erected new fire stations with at least 365 vehicles to guarantee prompt response in the event of a fire. In order to prevent ordinary people from being alarmed in the event of a little fire, authorities have also been ordered to conduct awareness programs and simulated exercises.

According to ADG Fire Padmaja Chauhan, those in charge of raising awareness will also instruct the public on how to deal with similar fire situations.

“We’ve told the cops to visit the tents, raise awareness, and conduct simulated exercises. People shouldn’t freak out if there is a little fire. Additionally, the authorities will instruct the public on how to deal with such fires,” she said.

In order to protect the devotees, the government has chosen to use both manpower and technical instruments during Maha Kumbh this time. Chauhan said that the government has deployed firefighting robots, fire mist motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) that can operate on any terrain, and quick response vehicles in addition to increasing the number of personnel.

According to Chauhan, the government is also sending in firefighting boats, which will be prepared for deployment in a week. The boats will utilize river water to put out the fire.

In the meanwhile, North Central Railway’s Prayagraj division has made a bold move towards digitization by introducing a creative project to use contemporary technology to streamline the ticketing procedure.

At Prayagraj Junction and other strategic points, committed railway workers from the Commercial Department would be stationed during the Maha Kumbh. The green jackets with the QR code printed on the back will make these employees clearly recognized.

To download the UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System) mobile app, pilgrims just need to scan this QR code with their smartphones. Travelers may reserve unreserved tickets using this app without having to wait in line.

By reducing congestion at train stations, this innovative project will make it easier for pilgrims to buy tickets. Millions of devotees are anticipated to attend the Mahakumbh, and the integration of digital payment alternatives into the process promises to save time and provide a hassle-free experience.
