Madhya Pradesh Police visited Prayagraj to study security and crowd control strategies ahead of 2028 Ujjain Kumbh
Uttar Pradesh: In preparation for the 2028 Ujjain Kumbh, senior Madhya Pradesh Police officials traveled to Prayagraj to research the state’s crowd management and security measures, according to an official release. To learn more about several facets of security arrangements, such as the use of artificial intelligence (AI), countermeasures against cybercrime, and crowd control technologies, they met with their colleagues in the UP Police.
According to the statement, the group also visited important sites in the Kumbh Mela region to see and comprehend the UP Police’s preparations on the ground.
According to the release, ATS Madhya Pradesh Deputy Inspector General Tarun Kaushik commended the UP Police methodology and said that police departments in other states have to follow suit.
In order to guarantee smooth operations during the Ujjain Kumbh in 2028, he said, the Madhya Pradesh Police will work with the UP Police.

Preparations for the 2028 Ujjain Kumbh included the visit. According to the statement, important information on security measures in the Prayagraj district and the Kumbh Mela area was presented during the visit, which included in-depth talks with the UP Police.
The announcement further said that Tarun Kaushik, Deputy Inspector General of Police (ATS Madhya Pradesh), praised the Uttar Pradesh and Prayagraj Police’s efforts and emphasized the need for UP and MP Police to work together to achieve a big, heavenly, and safe Kumbh.
Additionally, he called UP Police a model worth imitating for their careful planning over the last three years, especially in the area of traffic control, and their sensitivity to the requirements of staff at all levels.
Senior Madhya Pradesh Police officials, including Additional Director General of Police (Ujjain Zone) Umesh Joga, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Ujjain Range) Navneet Bhasin, Deputy Superintendent of Police Bharat Singh Yadav, and Subedar (Traffic) Nivesh Malviya, were given comprehensive insights into various aspects of security and management for Maha Kumbh 2025, according to the release, which cited Assistant Police Commissioner Meena.
The statement further claimed that the briefing included important topics, including traffic management, crowd control, law and order, security plans, and guaranteeing the protection and comfort of an expected 400 million devotees.
The statement also emphasized the deployment tactics of water police, defenses against cybercrime threats, and the application of artificial intelligence for operational efficiency.
In order to see the management systems and preparations taking place on the ground, the visiting officials were given a tour of the Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) and a number of significant sites inside the Kumbh Mela region.
