Madhya Pradesh police arrested two accused in ATM robbery case
Gwalior: According to a senior police officer, two suspects in an ATM robbery case who are thought to be Mewat Gang members have been taken into custody by Madhya Pradesh Police.
Dharamvir Singh, the superintendent of police (SP) for Gwalior, said on Wednesday that they had confiscated the quantity of plundered money as well as the car the accused were using to escape from other locations.
According to the official, during the evening of December 26–27, 2024, an ATM robbery event was recorded in the vicinity of the Bahodapur police station in Gwalior.
He further said that it was difficult to apprehend the offenders since the accused kept changing license plates during the event.
“Gwalior Police has arrested two main accused of a gang in a very successful operation,” the Gwalior SP told ANI. On the evening of December 26–27, 2024, there was a reported ATM robbery in the vicinity of the Bahodapur police station.The ‘Mewat Gang’ was suspected of being engaged in this crime based on experience.
“Over the last four to five days, CCTV cameras have been examined…Throughout the encounter, this group also consistently utilized several license plates.
Catching the offenders after the raid was a very difficult process.Two suspects have been taken into custody.The sum that was robbed has also been recovered, and the car that was involved in the event has been confiscated.I want to applaud the crew since they worked tirelessly for five days to solve this operation,” he said.
The authority also commended the crew for completing the operation successfully.
