Lucknow: Six people including two children injured in gas explosion at cylinder refilling site
Lucknow: According to a police official on Friday, six individuals, including two children, were injured in a gas explosion at an unauthorized cylinder refilling site and were taken to a trauma center in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
The fire station was notified of the explosion in the Dubagga region, where four persons were hurt and two neighborhood children were hurt, according to the police. Given the quantity of cylinders found at the scene, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) West Omveer Singh said that there was a chance of an even more serious occurrence.
“At approximately 6:30 PM, 112 informed us (the police and fire stations) that there had been an explosion in the Dubagga neighborhood. The in-charge of the police station arrived at the scene right away. Four individuals were hospitalized after suffering injuries. Additionally, two neighborhood kids had minor wounds, according to DCP West Omveer Singh.
DCP Singh said that 96 cylinders were collected by the police, who discovered the area used as an illegal refilling facility. He noted that one person’s injuries from the bomb are still serious.
According to the DCP, a case has been filed and more research is being done.
“It was discovered that unlawful cylinder refilling was taking place there while conducting an on-site check. Here, we have discovered 96 cylinders. Since this was being done in an amateurish manner, there must have been some kind of leak. It’s a burst of gas. Fortunately, there was no cylinder explosion. Given the quantity of cylinders present (in the area), there was a chance of an even more serious event. To supervise the care of the wounded, our ACP and inspector are present in the trauma center. We’ve been told that one individual is crucial. “An investigation is underway and a case has been filed,” DCP West Omveer Singh said.
