Leader K. Kavitha criticised the Congress-led Telangana government over several incidents of communal violence in the state
Hyderabad: The Congress-led Telangana administration has come under fire from Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader K Kavitha, who called the state’s many instances of intercommunal violence “severe violations of the Constitution.”
“We are witnessing serious constitutional violations in Telangana,” Kavitha told the media report. In Asifabad, there have been riots. Regretfully, there have been one or two instances of community violence every month over the last 13 months of Congress control. Telangana has never seen anything like this before; hence, this is a sad instance.
Rahul Gandhi, the Congress leader, was also criticized by Kavitha for saying that the Constitution should be upheld and that he needs to go to Telangana to talk to the impacted residents.
“I see Mr. Rahul Gandhi defending the Constitution and speaking of high values. Everywhere he travels, he has a pocket Constitution with him. Although I respect the effort he is making, I do want him to realize that he should focus more on areas where he can put his aspirational goals into action right now. He needs to visit Telangana. “He ought to observe how his chief minister is behaving contrary to the principles of his own party,” Kavitha said.
Kavitha drew attention to the Telangana chief minister’s and deputy chief minister’s failure to address the recent violence in the area.
Hindu and Muslim residences were set on fire. Their stores were demolished. They lost their means of subsistence. There has been no visit from the chief minister. There has been no visit from the deputy chief minister. There was no national media coverage and no internet access for two months. The BRS MLC went on to say that only the local politicians made an effort to assist.
In addition, Kavitha questioned what the Congress had done to defend constitutional rights and accused the party of failing to honor BR Ambedkar.
A 125-foot statue of Ambedkar has been erected by KCR ji. Among the biggest statues in the nation is this one. However, the Congress administration hasn’t even gone to Garland in the last 13 months. This monument is located next to the secretariat in the heart of Hyderabad, yet the chief minister never finds five minutes to pay it homage. This is an affront not just to KCR or BRS but also to Dr. BR Ambedkar’s imposing figure.
“The Congress party now says that Amit Shah has insulted Ambedkar,” she continued. What are they doing here, though? In terms of safeguarding the constitutional rights, they are doing nothing. Respecting people’s feelings and the Constitution, BRS has consistently been on the right side of the debate. The Congress party should follow suit.
