LDF candidate Sathyan Mokeri filed his nomination papers for Wayanad Lok Sabha bypoll
On Thursday, the LDF candidate sent in his nomination papers for the Lok Sabha by-election in Wayanad.
Around 11 a.m., CPI LDF candidate Sathyan Mokeri arrived at the District Collectorate in a procession from the Kalpetta Service Cooperative Bank. He presented his nomination documents to Meghasree D R, the District Collector. The candidate was joined for the paper submission by LDF convener T P Ramakrishnan, as well as leaders P Santhosh Kumar, MP, K K Hamsa, and C M Sivaraman.
At the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency LDF election convention, CPI state secretary Binoy Viswam declared that Kerala has a government that is working with the primary goal of reviving Wayanad, which was destroyed by the calamity.
“The Congress, not the people of Wayanad, was the cause of the situation that led to the lack of an MP to voice Wayanad’s demands in Parliament. For this reason, Wayanad residents had to go to the polls once again. Since returning from a visit to the landslide-ravaged region, the prime minister has remained mute. Congress and the UDF may challenge and withdraw from Wayanad if they see fit. The Congress leadership would begin considering running a different candidate in Wayanad if Priyanka wins another seat in Delhi, Binoy said.
