Amanjot Singh, a retired inspector with the Chandigarh Police, claims that Bishnoi was first exposed to the world of crime by Rocky Fazilka and did not begin as a criminal.

Singh said that Bishnoi is the son of a policeman and was a law student in college in an interview with a media report. But his father’s desire was for his kid to join the IAS as an officer. At DAV College in Chandigarh, Bishnoi met Goldie Brar, who subsequently became his right-hand man and is now doing business in Canada.

Singh said that Bishnoi met Fazilka, a mobster and GCM College student, via Ranjit Singh Dupla when he was incarcerated at Banda Jail.

The police officer said that Fazilka had previously been a part of the Mukhtar Ansari group and that the former had cultivated Bishnoi, who started his affiliation with criminal activity under Fazilka’s tutelage.

Fazilka, who was born in the Firozpur area of Punjab in 1971, was mentioned as a suspect in the abduction and killing of businessman Nand Kishore Rungta of Prayagraj, but he was exonerated for lack of proof. He was once again charged with the abduction of Nirmal Kumar Jaipuria, a businessman from Bengaluru, but was exonerated because there was not enough evidence.

Additionally, Fazilka ran unsuccessfully as an independent against Punjab BJP leader Surjit Jyani in the 2012 election. Between 1996 and 2016, Fazilka was the subject of 22 major criminal cases, including murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and abduction.

Along with his buddy Parampal Pala and the security guards he was assigned, Fazilka was traveling from Solan, Himachal Pradesh, to Chandigarh on April 30, 2016, when he was assaulted by assailants who rained gunfire on him. Before he could go to the hospital, Fazilka passed away.
