Kerala superstar Mohanlal’s son is currently in Spain and is spending his time in farming

While most actors’ kids follow in their parents’ footsteps, Pranav, the son of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, seems to have chosen to pursue the hardy agricultural life over the glamour of show business. A Manorama story claims that the renowned actor’s son is presently farming in Spain.

Suchitra, the wife of the “Iruvar” actor, told the magazine that while she receives several screenplays each year, her son is now distracted by things other than movies.

According to Suchitra, Pranav is now working on a farm in Spain as part of a “Work Away” program, where he receives food and lodging in lieu of cash. She clarified that Pranav is now taking on responsibilities like taking care of horses and goats because he loves these types of experiences more than monetary compensation. “Although people, including his cousins, often say that Pranav only listens to me, I don’t think that’s entirely true,” said Suchitra. “He has his own ideas—he’s not stubborn, but he follows what he believes is right.”

She said that while she likes to read screenplays, Pranav has complete control over the ultimate selection of movie proposals. “He doesn’t always listen to me when I tell him to make at least two movies a year. There must be balance in life, and sometimes I believe he’s correct,” she said. Despite Pranav’s recent entry into the field, Suchitra observed that people are already drawing comparisons between him and his father, Mohanlal. She came to the conclusion, “But Appu can never be Mohanlal,”

Pranav Mohanlal: Who Is He?

Pranav is the only son of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal. In the 2003 drama film “Punarjani,” he made his acting debut as a kid actor and won the Kerala State Film Award for Best kid Artist.

In 2015, Pranav made a comeback to the film business, working as an assistant director for Jeethu Joseph on two projects: The Life of Josutty and Papanasam. He landed his first major part in 2018’s Aadhi, which was also directed by Jeethu and went on to become one of the highest-grossing Malayalam movies of the year. He received the SIIMA Award for Best Debut Actor for his performance.

In Aadhi, Pranav also made his singing-songwriter debut, penning, performing, and singing the song “Gypsy Women.” He then starred in the critically acclaimed and financially successful movie Hridayam (2022).
