“At Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, I met @rajendraarlekar, the recently appointed Governor of Kerala. Vijayan posted on X, “Looking forward to working together in the spirit of Kerala’s progress and unity.”

Earlier in the day, Arlekar said he travels there to help the government and doesn’t go there to challenge the administration.

“I never attempt to engage in conflict with the administration or the government wherever I go. In an official statement, Arlekar said, “I am going there to help the government; it is not to guide or pass any direction, nothing of that sort.”

At Raj Bhavan, Arlekar also had a meeting with PS Sreedharan Pillai, the governor of Goa.

After the meeting, Arlekar told the media that he wanted to know more about Kerala before visiting the state.
“It is a fortunate coincidence that I would be visiting Kerala in my capacity as governor.

Since he is from Kerala, I wanted to learn as much as I could about the state from PS Sreedharan Pillai (Goa Governor) before I traveled there. This way, I could go there and work effectively, and I would utilize all he taught me,” Arlekar said.

President Droupadi Murmu named Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar the next governor of Kerala on December 21. Additionally, Murmu named Arif Mohammad Khan the governor of Bihar.

Arif Mohammed Khan, the departing governor of Kerala, had earlier thanked the people of Kerala as his tenure drew to a close, highlighting his enduring connection to the state.

Khan sent his warmest regards to the Keralan people and administration, adding that there had been no unrest during his tenure.
