Kangana Ranaut targeted Shiv Sena and its Aghadi alliance

New Delhi: Kangana Ranaut, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), attacked the Shiv Sena (UBT) and the Aghadi coalition, calling them “daitya (monsters)” and “disrespecting women” when the Mahayuti swept the 2024 general assembly elections in Maharashtra.

According to Ranaut, a BJP MP from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, individuals who treat women disrespectfully are monsters, and they met their demise when they lost the Maharashtra assembly elections. She went on to say that it was clear they had lost their sense of right and wrong.

“I had predicted that Uddhav Thackeray would lose. History bears testament to our recognition of ‘devta’ (god) and ‘daitya’ (monster). Those who treat women disrespectfully are ‘daitya’ (monsters), whereas those who treat them with respect—whether it’s by allocating 33% of the food, cylinders, or reservations for women—are ‘daitya’. So one can determine who is a ‘devta’ and who is a ‘daitya’… Therefore, those who treated women disrespectfully are monsters, and they met their end when they lost the elections. In addition to destroying my residence, they cursed at me. They clearly lost sight of right and evil,” said Kangana Ranaut, a BJP MP.

In response to the BJP-led Mahayuti party’s victory in the assembly elections, Ranaut thanked the Maharashtra people and said the victory was historic for the saffron party.

“This victory for our party is historic. All of the party workers are clearly extremely thrilled. We express our gratitude to the Maharashtra people. “Our party (leaders) have the authority to choose the new Chief Minister,” she said.

Earlier, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, the head of the Maharashtra Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), attacked the Congress on Sunday by declaring that the state assembly will not have a Leader of the Opposition (LoP).

Bawankule went on to claim that Congress and the opposition parties had performed “wrong deeds” that prevented Maharashtra from having a Leader of the Opposition (LoP).

This time, Maharashtra won’t have a leader of the opposition (LoP). This is the outcome of the opposition’s and Congress’s wrongdoing. During the Lok Sabha Elections, they misled people by spreading false narratives. As in Haryana, voters expelled them when they learned about this during the assembly elections, according to Chandrashekhar Bawankule, the chairman of the BJP in Maharashtra.

On Saturday, November 23, the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly General Election results were announced. Mahayuti won 230 seats out of 288 seats in the most recent Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections.

The Shiv Sena, headed by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and the NCP, led by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, each won 57 seats and 41 seats, respectively, while the BJP secured 132 seats.

On the other hand, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) was rudely shocked when the Congress secured 16 seats, the NCP (SP) headed by Sharad Pawar managed barely 10, and the Shiv Sena (UBT) led by Uddhav Thackeray won 20 seats.
