Kangana Ranaut congratulates the team of ‘Band of Maharajas’ for Oscar nomination
The Girish Malik-directed musical “Band of Maharajas” has reached a significant milestone by making it to the Oscar competition, which is a happy occasion for Indian cinema.
The film’s soulful song “Ishq Walla Daku” is contending in the coveted Best Original Song category, while Bickram Ghosh, a well-known music master, is composing the Best Original Score.
Kangana Ranaut, a former actress who is now a politician, congratulated the team on their accomplishment on X (previously Twitter).
“Happy to see Indian film thriving on a worldwide scale! ‘Band of Maharajas’ is in the running for an Oscar. Kudos to @NishantPitti, @Puneet_Singh, Director @malik_girish, and Music Director @BickramGhoshofficial,” Kangana tweeted on X.

In a statement released by the ‘Band Of Maharajas’ crew, composer Bickram Ghosh, who wrote the film’s moving soundtrack, expressed his delight in the project’s accomplishment: “Band Of Maharajas is a labor of love.” We are very appreciative of the encouragement and gratitude we have received.
The inspirational tale of three driven teenage musicians from a little town close to the India-Pakistan border is told in “Band of Maharajas.” These courageous people cross the border into Pakistan to follow their passion of creating music, despite the fact that extreme groups there oppose it.
Their hardships, courage, and the significant impact music has in bringing people together across differences are all shown in the movie.
Kangana, meanwhile, just revealed the date of her much anticipated movie “Emergency.”
On January 17 of next year, the movie, in which Kangana plays former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, will be released in theaters.
The film explores the life of Indira Gandhi, who established a 21-month emergency from 1975 to 1977. It is a biographical political thriller.
The film, which was produced by Manikarnika Films and Zed Studios, takes place during one of India’s most turbulent political eras.
