Speaking at the Chaman Lal Gupta Khel Ratan awards ceremony in Jammu, Sinha said that due of this article, Indian Army men from other areas of the nation were deployed here to serve their country but were unable to purchase property in the area.

He said even the President, who is regarded as India’s first citizen, was likewise unable to construct a home here, but that since Article 370 was repealed, Jammu and Kashmir is now a part of India just like any other state or territory.

Because of legislation (Article 370), an army jawan from anywhere in the nation might sacrifice his life for the nation, but he was not allowed to purchase property in Jammu and Kashmir. The LG said, “It is now evident that Jammu and Kashmir is a part of India, just like any other state or region. The President of India, who is regarded as the country’s first citizen, could build a house anywhere in the country, but not in Jammu and Kashmir.”

Important pledges in the National Conference’s platform for the elections in Jammu and Kashmir were the reinstatement of statehood, the restoration of Article 370, and the execution of the autonomy resolution.

The Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta Khel Ratna Award was also given by the LG to worthy and gifted athletes and sports professionals.

In his remarks, he remarked, “Congratulations to all of the gifted athletes and sports officials who have received the Prof.

Khel Ratna Award for Chaman Lal Gupta. I have no doubt that they will put forth great effort to inspire the next generation and bring honor to the nation via their performances. Our goal is to establish J&K as the most athletic UT and a dominant force in a number of sports. In order to fulfill this objective, I hope that our athletes will carry on the heritage of bravery and achievement in national and international competitions.”
