Jammu and Kashmir: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha called upon people to participate in the program of Indian Jain Organization
Jammu and Kashmir: Manoj Sinha, the lieutenant governor of Jammu and Kashmir, has urged everyone to support the admirable cause of organ and tissue donation.
In addition to thanking the volunteer organ donors, he made this statement while addressing the Bharatiya Jain Sangathan’s organ donation event in Jammu on Sunday.
Speaking at the event, Sinha stated, “Donors have the chance to save lives via organ donation. Let’s all work together to donate our organs and tissues and contribute to society in a meaningful way.
Sinha asked the State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization to include his name on the list of donors in honor of the event.
“The life motto ought to be organ donation. In addition to the beneficiaries, this altruistic deed also has an impact on the lives of the friends and family of individuals pursuing transplants,” he stated.
The Lieutenant Governor praised the Bharatiya Jain Sangathan for their excellent work in encouraging organ donation and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to helping the volunteers and social groups involved in this admirable cause.
The governor of Jammu and Kashmir also urged cooperation in using contemporary technologies in both public and private institutions to make organ transplants accessible and inexpensive.
He emphasized in his address that hospitals should establish permanent support desks for organ donation and transplantation in order to dispel common misconceptions about the practice.
“Organ and tissue donation camps should also be organised in the hospitals in collaboration with all stakeholders to inform and encourage people,” he said.
In his address, Sinha urged the young people to embrace Lord Mahavir’s principles and teachings and commit themselves to helping others.
“Lord Mahavir’s eternal message of Samyak Darshan—Right Faith, Samyak Gyan—Right Knowledge and Samyak Charitra—Right Conduct, will continue to guide us on the path of non-violence, truth and compassion,” he said.
‘BJS Moksh Path’ is a community connect initiative that aims to dispel the misconceptions surrounding organ donation and encourage organ donation among community leaders. The Lieutenant Governor complimented the BJS on the launch of this program.
The ‘BJS Khilona Bank’ was also established by the Bharatiya Jain Sangathan to provide educational items to kids from disadvantaged backgrounds. On this occasion, the BJS Pratibha Samman was also given to the youth.
In addition to senior officials from the civil and police administration, members of the Bharatiya Jain Sangathan, SS Jain Sabha, and various social organizations, the event was attended by Anand Jain, ADGP Jammu; Sandeep Jain, President of Bharatiya Jain Sangathan, J&K; and Monika Jain, General Secretary of Bharatiya Jain Sangathan, J&K.
