Jalandhar police arrested two associates of Lawrence Bishnoi gang

Jalandhar: Following a heated pursuit and gunfight in Jalandhar, Jalandhar Police arrested two members of the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang on Wednesday.

Officials claim that when the suspects shot at the Bishnoi’s colleagues during the pursuit, the police retaliated by firing on them.

The detained people are being charged with a number of severe crimes, including murder and extortion.
They are also accused of breaking the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and the Arms Act.

Three weapons and several cartridges were found by police authorities during the raid, highlighting the gravity of the issue and the possible danger these people presented.

Earlier on Tuesday, Jaipur police detained four members of the Bishnoi gang after receiving information about them from the social media accounts of infamous criminals Rohit Godara and Lawrence Bishnoi.

According to Jaipur police, the four individuals were contacted via social media while following profiles connected to criminals Bishnoi and Godara. Additionally, they obtained many illicit firearms from Madhya Pradesh and were prepared to execute the directives at the request of a purported gang member.
The intelligence from the Commissionerate Special Team (CST) in Jaipur prompted the police to take action.

“CST informed us that a man’s social media conduct is questionable. He used to follow the handles of the Rohit Godara and Lawrence Bishnoi gangs, according to the results of the inquiry. After contacting them (four were detained), he delivered several MP guns per their orders. At his request, they were planning to stage an incident,” Anoop Singh, the assistant commissioner of police for Jaipur, said.

ACP Singh claims that the individuals were caught before they could get instructions to engage in further unlawful activity because they were doing courier duties for the gang.
