Indian Army successfully concludes ARMEX-24
New Delhi: ARMEX-24, a high-altitude adventure expedition that is a monument to tenacity, fortitude, and operational brilliance, has been successfully completed by the Indian Army.

The adventure, which lasted 28 days, including acclimatization, took participants on a challenging 146-kilometer trek from the deep forests of North Bengal to the perilous, snow-covered heights of Sikkim, according to a statement.
The trip took place between March 22 and April 14, 2025. With the exception of the acclimatization phase, the team traveled nonstop for eighteen days over challenging terrain, negotiating rough paths, high grades, and erratic weather.
Twenty military people who were well-trained and psychologically strong were chosen for this operation. Their trip put their mental toughness, physical stamina, and ability to function as a cohesive team under trying circumstances to the test.
Dramatic height changes were encountered throughout the trip, which went from subtropical rainforests to peaks exceeding 14,000 feet. Soldiers showed resilience and adaptability under high-stress, low-oxygen conditions.
“ARMEX-24 is more than just an expedition–it reflects the Indian Army’s ethos of perseverance, discipline, and operational readiness,” said a top Army officer.
“These programs develop the mental fortitude necessary for operational success, strengthen teamwork, and hone leadership. Regardless of the terrain or hardship, they guarantee that our personnel are always prepared for missions,” the source said.
ARMEX-24’s effective completion demonstrates the Indian Army’s dedication to operational readiness via demanding, realistic terrain training. Additionally, it encourages young people all throughout the country to take on difficulties, become resilient, and preserve the spirit of adventure and volunteerism.
