Run by the Ministry of Defense, this national tree planting drive goes by the name ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam.’ Initially kicked off by Prime Minister Modi on World Environment Day (June 5), the goal is to plant 1.5 million trees throughout India. From the three military branches to supporting establishments like DRDO, defense PSUs, CGDA, NCC, military schools, and ordnance factories – everyone’s in!
