“The Prime Minister of India and the famous Parliamentarian of Varanasi, the Honourable Prime Minister, is arriving in his Lok Sabha Constituency this time for the 50th time,” BJP Kashi Zone President Dilip Patel revealed in an interview with the media report.

Additionally, he said, “We have been notified that the Honourable Prime Minister will arrive at around ten o’clock. And after finishing the assembly service at Babatpur Airport, the Honourable Prime Minister will go straight to Mehdiganj Gramme Panchayat.”

More than 50,000 people have been invited by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to the public gathering, where PM Modi will officially launch and lay the groundwork for a number of projects totalling Rs 3884 crore. A significant subway tunnel on NH-31, airport expansion and educational facilities, including a polytechnic and a government degree college, are among the important projects. It is anticipated that Modi would speak to the crowd for around 20 minutes, beginning at 12:30 PM.

Patel went on to describe the extent of these projects, saying, “A significant subway tunnel on NH-31, valued at around Rs 6500 crore, is the main project under the Rs 3884 crore program. Water systems, schools, parks, a police hostel and a flyover in Maruwadi are among the other developments.

“The Varanasi district and city, which have 33 mandals, are getting ready for a huge turnout, according to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organisation. The public event is anticipated to be attended by party workers from all mandals, booth-level, and other fronts. The Prime Minister will also be heard by people from all walks of life in the Varanasi area. The group anticipates at least 50,000 people to attend,” he said.

Patel said, “A significant subway tunnel on NH-31, valued at around Rs 6500 crore, is the main project under the Rs 3884 crore plan. Along with road expansion and a flyover at Maruwadi, other projects include the construction of an airport area, a water mission, a government degree college, a polytechnic college, a hockey stadium, a police transit hostel and barracks at Ram Nagar Police Line. During his visit, the prime minister will provide blessings and solutions for these urgent problems.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is reportedly scheduled to lay the groundwork for many development projects in Purvanchal, particularly Varanasi, during his visit. One of the most notable of them is the six-lane tunnel being built as part of Babatpur Airport’s expansion. The airport’s runway will be extended as part of this project, allowing two aircraft to land and take off at the same time. Following this modification, there will be 110 aircraft departing the airport daily. The Varanasi-Lucknow National Highway (NH-21) will be reshaped to accommodate the six-lane tunnel.

According to estimates, a budget of Rs 652.64 crore has been set up for this purpose, of which Rs 325 crore would solely be used to build the tunnel. In addition, 10.50 hectares of property close to the airport have been purchased. A seamless transportation path between the city and the airport will be established after this project is finished.

Reports state that a new transit city in Varanasi, which would be constructed near Mohansarai, is also part of Prime Minister Modi’s plan. Truck parking, a warehouse, a restaurant, a retail centre, and a hostel facility are among the amenities that would cost Rs 12 crore under this project. Truck drivers will also have access to a security system and CCTV monitoring.

Additionally, PM Modi will lay the groundwork for the city’s parks to be renovated. Varanasi’s eleven main parks will be made more attractive. The parks of Birdopur, Kanshiram Yojana, Mahadev Nagar, and Ashok Nagar stand out among them. The city will be more beautiful and greener as a result of this endeavour.

Additionally, he will unveil 35 brand-new pieces of art at Varanasi’s crossroads. A hockey stick, a dancer who performs Kathak, a Nandi lion, and miniature versions of the city’s ghats are some examples of these artefacts. The identity and attractiveness of the city will be enhanced by these artefacts.

With an estimated cost of Rs 6.15 crore, a minor stadium will also be constructed in Shivpur. Sports amenities including a yoga pavilion, a walking track, a cricket net, a hockey pitch and a football pitch would be available at this stadium. For kids, young people, and sports enthusiasts, this complex will be a fantastic destination.

PM Modi’s plan would include investments of over Rs 1000 crore for 400 kV substations and transmission lines, a budget of over Rs 100 crore for road expansion, and Rs 345.12 crore for 130 rural drinking water projects under the Jal Jeevan Mission. In addition, the education sector will see the construction of several new institutions and libraries.
