“In the past ten years, Kejriwal has done nothing for women,” said leader Vijender Gupta
New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener and former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has come under fire from BJP politician and Delhi Assembly LoP Vijender Gupta, who said that throughout his 10 years in office, he had done nothing to help women.
Gupta said that many AAP MLAs have not even been kind to their spouses, citing the issue of Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal’s alleged assault as an example.
“Arvind Kejriwal feels shook. Over the last ten years, he has done little to help women. Swati Maliwal, a Rajya Sabha MP, was attacked at his house by him. Even his MLAs have not been kind to their spouses. They are now deceiving and manipulating women’s emotions. Why is he cheating on women now when he had ten years to do anything for them?” Arvind Kejriwal is the only issue facing Delhi,” Vijender Gupta told the media report.
In the meanwhile, BJP MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat said, “Even after ten years, the Delhi administration has failed to comprehend the people of Delhi. You (Arvind Kejriwal) instruct the folks who show up to tell us everything when election time arrives. Rajinder Nagar’s sewers have not even been cleaned by you. Because of you, three candidates for our country lost their lives.
“The city, which should be proud of itself for being a capital, has now become a question mark due to the issues of water, electricity, pollution…” he said.
Virendra Sachdeva, the president of the Delhi BJP, also criticized Kejriwal earlier in the day for “doing politics” over the Republic Day parade tableau.
Additionally, he accused the AAP chairman of “destroying” Delhi via corruption while serving as the capital’s chief minister.
“Even though Delhi is the capital of India, Arvind Kejriwal’s anarchist tendencies are evident whenever a national holiday approaches. We still remember Arvind Kejriwal’s demonstration on Republic Day in 2014. The Republic Day procession features the whole nation’s tableau. The tableau is decided by a committee. Sachdeva told the media report that Arvind Kejriwal now wants to become involved in politics as well.
“He had served for ten years as the CM. I would want to ask him what he would like to depict in the Delhi tableau. Delhi has been devastated by Arvind Kejriwal’s corruption over the last ten years, he said. “The severe overflow where more than sixty people died…or the ‘Sheeshmahal’ that he made by looting the money of people.”
Earlier in the day, Kejriwal accused the federal government of lacking a people’s vision and questioned its “politics” for excluding Delhi’s tableau from the Republic Day parade on January 26.
Since Delhi is the capital of India, its tableau ought to take part in the parade on January 26 each year. The Delhi tableau has been prohibited from taking part in the procession for a long time. This is what type of politics? Why do they despise Delhi residents so much? Why should Delhi residents cast their ballots for them? Says Kejriwal during a news conference.
