Ramanathapuram: According to an official, a fire started on Wednesday at the Government Medical College and Hospital in Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu.

According to them, the second-floor administrative wing was where the fire started.

The fire event did not result in any recorded fatalities. According to the officer, an electrical leak is the source of the fire.

As shown in the photos, patients were safely evacuated as a result of the smoke spreading.

To contain the fire, seven fire engines were called into action. They said that the smoke had also been removed from the room.

Simranjeet Singh Kalon, the district collector, and G Sandish, the district superintendent of police, hurried to the hospital and performed rescue operations.

They said that the fire was under control.
