Hyderabad police arrest 3 people in drug bust
Hyderabad: As part of a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, the Hyderabad Police have detained three individuals, including a driver, a sub-peddler, and an interstate drug dealer, and confiscated 160 kg of ganja.

The Commissioner’s Task Force, South West Zone team, and Kulsumpura Police made the arrests after stopping a vehicle that was discovered to be transporting 160 kg of ganja, valued at around Rs 48 lakh, according to a news statement from the police.
Guguloth Heeru, a 48-year-old Warangal district auto driver; Puranam Raju, a 35-year-old Warangal district driver; and Dudekula Makbul Sab, a 46-year-old Sangareddy district agriculturist, have been named as the accused.
Guguloth Heeru has been detained for similar offenses in 2014 and 2019, according to police authorities, and has a history of participation in drug trafficking.
Under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act of 1985, the police have filed a complaint and are conducting further investigation.
The Hyderabad City Police issued a statement urging everyone to exercise caution and report any questionable drug trafficking-related activity. Additionally, they advised parents to monitor their kids’ activities and to call the police if they suspect drug use.
