Highest number of women cadets will participate in NCC Republic Day Camp in 2025
With 917 of 2,361 cadets from all 28 states and 8 union territories participating in the month-long event at the Cariappa Parade Ground, the NCC Republic Day Camp 2025 will see the highest number of female cadets, according to a Ministry of Defense statement.
With 114 cadets from Ladakh and Jammu & Kashmir and 178 from the northeast, the participation represents a microcosm of “Mini India.” As part of the youth exchange program, cadets and officers from 14 friendly foreign nations will also attend the camp.
Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh, DGNCC, spoke during the event, welcoming the cadets and congratulating them on being chosen for the most prestigious NCC camp. In a spirit of “nation first,” he counseled the cadets to transcend caste, language, and religion by exhibiting the finest virtues of character, honesty, selfless service, camaraderie, and collaboration, the MoD statement said.
Additionally, according to the statement, the Republic Day Camp seeks to develop in the participating cadets a “profound sense” of discipline, leadership, and patriotism.
According to the statement, this yearly occasion provides a forum for providing cadets with worthwhile training opportunities, cultural events, and social service projects, all of which foster solidarity and pride.
