“We show our support for children and their families battling cancer on this International Childhood Cancer Day. We wish them a quick recovery and applaud their bravery and resolve to live,” he said.
CM Saini also referenced a report published in the Medical Journal Lancet that indicated there is now a greater chance that cancer treatments would be administered in India on schedule. He further attributed this outcome to the Ayushman Bharat program of the Union government.
“According to a study by the world-famous medical journal Lancet, the chances of starting cancer treatment on time in India have now increased significantly,” he said.
“Timely treatment means starting the treatment of cancer patients within 30 days, and ‘Ayushman Bharat Yojana’ has played a big role in this,” said the chief minister.
“Due to this scheme of the successful Prime Minister Honorable Shri Narendra Modi ji, 90 percent of cancer patients have been able to start their treatment on time,” Saini said.
