Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini attacked Kejriwal over corruption
New Delhi: After accusing former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal of corruption and damaging his hometown’s image, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said on Sunday that “Kejriwal’s place is in Tihar jail.”
“Kejriwal’s corruption has damaged his birthplace. “His place is in Tihar jail, not Haryana,” Nayab Singh Saini said on his X account.
Additionally, he shared a video on X in which he was seen criticizing Arvind Kejriwal for the corruption in the nation’s capital.
In the video, the Haryana chief minister said, “The corrupt ‘bhrashtachari’ Arvind Kejriwal has betrayed the people of Delhi, and he will be sent to Tihar jail after February 5.”
Speaking at a rally earlier in the day in Mundka’s Rani Khera neighborhood in favor of BJP candidate Gajender Drall, Saini said that Kejriwal had fabricated claims that Haryana had contaminated the Yamuna water because he had neglected to clean the river while in office.
“Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has opened up a shop of lies, which will promptly be locked by the people of Delhi on February 8,” Saini said.
Arvind Kejriwal has created a store of falsehoods, which the people of Delhi will be closing down by throwing the AAP out of power in the next Delhi assembly elections, CM Saini stated, calling the AAP’s “poisoned Yamuna” allegations propaganda.
“When he said this thing about poison in Yamuna, I was also worried because he accused me too,” the chief minister said, further asserting that Kejriwal lies just to serve his own interests. However, I would want to inform you, Kejriwal, that while you were born in Haryana, you have tarnished that land. How can you be a Delhi resident when you are not from Haryana? He can do everything to help himself while lying.
Interestingly, Arvind Kejriwal just said that the toxic water from the Yamuna that was being transported to Delhi had ceased. Ammonia levels in Delhi’s water have dropped from 7 parts per million to 2 parts per million.
Following the Election Commission of India’s (ECI) notice to the AAP chairman to provide evidence supporting his allegations that Haryana had poisoned the Yamuna, Arvind Kejriwal met with Delhi chairman Minister Atishi and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
On February 5, Delhi will have a single round of voting, and on February 8, the ballots will be counted.
