Gurugram Ambience Mall : Threats to bomb Noida’s DLF Mall of India and Gurugram’s Ambience Mall
Gurugram Ambience Mall : In Gurugram’s Ambience Mall, an email bomb threat was received on Saturday morning. The Bomb Disposal Squad, Haryana Police and Fire Brigade arrived, following receipt of the bomb threat. The mall was empty today because there are no more dangerous situation.
According to a statement made by police on 17th August 2024, a certain unidentified individual through email suggested that explosives be placed in many Delhi buildings and malls including Ambience Mall in Gurugram. After receiving intelligence about the possibility of bombs being planted in Gurugram’s Ambience Mall; Gurugram Police evacuated shoppers while still keeping the mall secure. Several police canine squad and bomb disposal teams are currently combing the mall.”

“The statement further said: “Police teams have not yet located any suspicious objects.” The public is being urged by the Gurugram Police not to panic or be concerned about security in any way. The source of these emails is also being looked for by the Gurugram Police. According to the ongoing investigation though, these emails were either a trick or simply fear mongering.”

Gurugram police assured that they are ever-ready with a full deployment round-the-clock to handle and maintain all untoward situations (24X7).
Further, it has been reminded by Gurugram Police that such information will lead to quick legal action against those who make false statements or post false information on bomb-related issues anywhere on social media platforms or any other media which disrupts law enforcement. Social media tends to fall under close scrutiny by Gurugram Police.
Consequently, do not pass around fake content like Facebook posts with empty threats or texts as well as posts that don’t have a solid foundation of truth within them. It added that “If anyone has any information regarding this matter, they should immediately contact ACP Crime,Gurugam at his Mobile No 9999981812/ Dial-112/ your local Police Station or any other convenient medium.”
Another email threat was received on Saturday indicating that a bomb had been concealed in Inorbit Mall, Vashi, Navi Mumbai. When they got the message, the cops and mall management left the building. An examination is now taking place because the entire mall has been cleared out.
