The film ‘The Sabarmati Report’ has done a fantastic job of bringing the facts about the Godhra event to the public’s attention. The Gujarati government has made the decision to exclude this movie from state taxes. He wrote, “#SabarmatiReport,” on X.

He went to the movie showing with BJP leaders and got to know star Jitendra.

“For years, the nation’s inhabitants were kept in the dark about the incredibly sad and abhorrent assault on the Sabarmati Express in Godhra. This was the result of an entire ecosystem, and a plot was devised to fabricate a story and spread it to the public in order to benefit politically. #SabarmatiReport…. The film is an unafraid attempt to reveal the truth about this occurrence. After meeting the well-known actor Jitendra ji, I had the chance to see this movie today with Ahmedabad residents, BJP leaders, and employees. Sincere gratitude to the crew and artists who worked on the movie for exposing the truth about this tragedy to the nation,” he said in the message.

Harsh Sangahvi, the home minister of Gujarat, also commended the movie “The Sabarmati Report” for its accurate and well researched depiction of the Godhra tragedy. He said that the Gujarat government has made the film tax-free in the state and praised the filmmakers for their efforts to tell the truth to the public.

“The filmmakers of ‘The Sabarmati Report’ have done a fantastic job of presenting the facts about Godhra to the public. The film is fact-based and well researched. On the CM’s orders, the Gujarati government has declared that this movie would be tax-free in the state,” he stated.

The film ‘The Sabarmati Report’, which was directed by Dheeraj Sarna and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Amul V Mohan, and Anshul Mohan, is based on actual events including the burning of the Sabarmati Express’s S-6 coach at Godhra. Raashii Khanna and Ridhi Dogra also feature in the movie.

The trailer for the movie was released earlier this month. The ideological conflict between grounded, Hindi-speaking journalists and their English-speaking counterparts—who are often seen as possessing a superiority complex—is highlighted in the teaser. The circumstances that influenced the politics and coverage of the sad occurrence serve as the background for these discussions.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had already hailed “The Sabarmati Report,” calling it a landmark documentary on the 2002 Godhra train compartment fire.

The Prime Minister was responding to an X user who had tagged him with a video of the trailer for the film and expressed appreciation for it. On Friday, the film was released.

“Excellent. The fact that this reality is being revealed in a form that the general public can understand is a positive thing. There is a limit to how long a false story can continue. The truth will always be out in due time,” PM Modi tweeted on X.

Numerous well-known figures in the nation have appreciated the movie.
