Govinda is recovering after emergency surgery for bullet injury in his leg, gives health update
Govinda, an actor and Shiv Sena politician, had emergency surgery on Tuesday morning to treat a gunshot wound to his leg that he unintentionally shot himself in. He is now recuperating.
His brother Kirti Kumar told the reporters on Tuesday that Govinda is doing well and is in stable condition.
“His health has improved. For two to three days, he will be admitted to the hospital.
He feels glad that the bullet is no longer in his body. He thanked everyone for their well wishes and stated, “We hope for his quick recovery.
Mumbai Police said that the event occurred at 4:45 a.m. when Govinda’s licensed pistol unintentionally fired as he was placing it back in the closet.
It was almost time for him to depart for Kolkata.
The phone conversation revealed that Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, was preparing to go to Kolkata “Govinda was placing his licensed revolver back in the closet when it slipped from his fingers and the pistol went off, striking him in the thigh. His situation is stable now that the bullet has been extracted by the doctor. He remains admitted to the hospital.
Govinda was hospitalized as a precaution after a Mumbai Police officer certified that the injury was not severe.
Krishna Hegde, a member of the Shiv Sena (the Eknath Shinde faction), had posted an audio clip in which Govinda expressed gratitude to everyone for their prayers and support. “The bullet has been removed with the blessings of my parents and all of you. I appreciate the physicians and everyone of you praying for me,” he stated.
