Singh intensified his criticism of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, claiming that when the state government first gave Bangladeshis a free pass, Abhishek Banerjee of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) engaged in political activities on behalf of Bangladesh.

“It’s ridiculous that the West Bengal government first gives Bangladeshis a free pass, and then Abhishek Banerjee engages in politics in the name of Bangladesh,” Giriraj Singh told media. The state and the whole nation should offer Mamata Banerjee an apology. The way they gave Bangladeshis the red carpet before she declared that no one could leave till she arrived.

West Bengal has turned into a breeding ground for infiltrators from Bangladesh.
Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, accused the Border Security Force (BSF) of helping terrorists and infiltrators from Bangladesh into the state, causing disturbances in the area as a result.

The Bengal Chief Minister said that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) will protest against the BSF if it continued to support such actions during his speech at the State Administrative Review Meeting at the Nabanna Sabhaghar in Kolkata.

When Banerjee said that the BSF, which is in charge of policing the borders, was allowing people to enter India from areas like Islampur, Sitai, and Chopra, he questioned why and blamed a “blueprint” from the central government. She emphasized that without the participation of the central government, the scenario would not have been conceivable.

“The BSF guards the border, but the TMC does not… Goons are being sent. People who commit murder are being sent over the border. It is a Central Government plan and an inside work of the BSF. It wouldn’t be feasible without a Central Government strategy,” the chief minister of West Bengal said.

Banerjee also disputed that the TMC had anything to do with the purported infiltration, claiming that the party had no control over the behavior of those who crossed the border. She blamed the BSF, which she said was responsible for border area security, directly. Banerjee went on to charge the BSF with crimes against women.

“People from Islampur, Sitai, Chopra, and many other areas are permitted entry by the BSF…The BSF is in control of the border. Atrocities against women are also being committed by the BSF.This boundary is under the control of the BSF, not us. It is not the TMC if anybody believes that they would let infiltrators to enter Bengal and assign blame to them. TMC bears no responsibility. “The BSF is in charge of it,” she said.

Banerjee said that she had constantly expressed her worries to the federal government and that the TMC would respect the government’s choice but would fight any move that would give extremists the opportunity to disturb the state’s peace and security.

“We will protest against the Central Government if they allow extremists to disturb the state, but I have constantly told them that whatever they decide will be our course. For this, we will also write a letter of complaint to the center,” she said.

The accusations made by the Bengal chief minister coincide with tales of infiltrators from Bangladesh entering the state and upsetting regional peace and harmony.
