Gaurav Bhatia accused opposition leader Rahul Gandhi of resorting to “anti-India forces” in an attempt to defeat PM Modi
New Delhi: On Friday, Gaurav Bhatia of the Bhartiya Janata Party accused Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition, of siding with “anti-India forces” in his bid to unseat Prime Minister Narendra Modi. US President Donald Trump’s recent claim that American assistance money was being used to sabotage India’s election process was highlighted by the BJP leader.

Bhatia attacked Gandhi, claiming that since he cannot “tolerate” PM Modi, the LoP seeks to undermine our nation’s democracy.
It is concerning that Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition, is engaging in anti-Indian activities and encouraging anti-Indian forces to meddle in our nation’s free and fair election process, despite having sworn allegiance under the Indian constitution to protect our nation’s integrity and sovereignty. “To overthrow PM Modi, he (Rahul Gandhi) is enlisting the aid of foreign powers,” Bhatia said.
“They are not only after PM Modi but want to destroy the democracy of our country because India today under the leadership of PM Modi has become a global leader and he cannot tolerate and digest it,” he said.
Bhatia’s remarks followed Donald Trump’s criticism of the US government’s USD 21 million voter turnout funding in India, which he described as a “kickback scheme.”
Bhatia accused Gandhi of wanting to offer George Soros India’s contract, establishing a connection between the two men.
“Despite taking the oath of office, Rahul Gandhi has made the conscious decision to undermine India and its democracy. George Soros is the second name that is emerging. Gondos, if I mention Gandhi and Soros.
In India, everyone says that. He wants to give Soros the contract for India. Rahul Gandhi is loved by anybody who despises India, Bhatia said.
Congressman Pawan Khera responded to the BJP’s charge by reminding them that Smriti Irani is USAID’s brand ambassador. He asked whether her demonstrations were sponsored by USAID.
They are claiming selectively that the Congress government embezzled funds from foreign financing organizations. Was USAID responsible for the road demonstrations that Smriti Irani participated in while serving as the organization’s brand ambassador? After our government lost the elections, social activist Anna Hazare also started a protest. He then traveled to America and performed road concerts there. Everyone is aware of his past financial support from the Ford Foundation, and RSS was complicit in this as well,” Khera said.
