Fog engulfs Delhi, minimum temperature was 10.8 degrees Celsius

New Delhi: According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the National Capital had a low temperature of 10.8 degrees Celsius at 5:30 am on Friday, accompanied by a layer of fog.

As Delhi’s temperatures continued to plummet, homeless people sought shelter in night shelters in reaction to the cold weather.

To help the homeless, the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) has erected 235 pagoda tents. AIIMS, Lodhi Road, and the Nizamuddin flyover are among the locations in the national capital where night shelters have been erected.

According to Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) statistics, Delhi’s air quality remained “very poor” on Friday, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 350 at 7 am. The Central Pollution Control Board said that the air quality in the nation’s capital was in the “very poor” category on Wednesday, with an AQI of 327 at 8 a.m.
