Firing broke out between security forces and militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district
Kathua: Authorities confirmed that there was a gunfight between security personnel and militants in the Kathua area of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. The fire incident was recorded as the military in the Suffain region of Kathua was conducting an anti-terrorist operation.

According to the Indian Army, security personnel have surrounded the area and a search and rescue effort is in progress.
Police officers reported a shooting incident in the same location on Thursday after seeing suspected terrorists.
Earlier on March 23, as security personnel were conducting a search operation in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir, gunfire was reported in the Hiranagar region.
Following this, the Indian Army’s Rising Star Corps soldiers and the Jammu and Kashmir (J-K) Police conducted a combined intelligence-based operation in Hiranagar, Kathua.
