Exit polls have predicted BJP’s victory in Delhi elections
New Delhi: Following the vote count on February 8, BJP officials expressed confidence in the party’s victory and said that they would outperform the majority of exit polls that predicted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would win the Delhi assembly elections. According to AAP officials, the party has consistently outperformed exit poll forecasts.
The Congress is expected to continue its poor performance, according to exit polls that were revealed after the end of voting in the Delhi assembly elections.
The margin of victory predicted by the exit polls varied; one survey suggested that the BJP may win between 51 and 60 of Delhi’s 70 assembly seats. AAP victory was also anticipated by two surveys. Following Wednesday’s end of the Delhi assembly votes, the exit polls released their predictions.
The P-MARQ exit poll predicts that the Congress will win 0–1 seats, the Aam Aadmi Party will win 21–31 seats, and the BJP will likely win 39–49 assembly seats.
The BJP and AAP were expected to compete closely, according to the Matrize exit poll. According to the report, the AAP is expected to win 32–37 seats and the BJP 35–40 seats. Congress may win one seat, it said.
According to a People’s Pulse exit poll, the AAP might win 10–19 seats and the BJP 51–60 assembly seats. Congress did not get any seats, according to the exit poll.
According to the People’s Insight exit poll, the AAP is predicted to win 25–29 seats and the BJP 40–44 seats. It said that the Congress may win 0–1 seats.

According to BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri, Delhi residents want progress, just as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done nationwide.
“The Modi wave is this. Delhi residents want progress, just as PM Narendra Modi has brought forth growth across the nation. The public has had enough of Kejriwal. Our leaders’ leadership and plan, as well as the diligent efforts of our party workers, have paid off. These exit polls don’t reflect my belief that the number of our seats will continue to increase. Bidhuri, a BJP candidate from Kalkaji running against Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, told the media report that the party will surpass the 50-seat threshold.
Given the response of the populace in the nation’s capital, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari also predicted that the results will surpass the exit polls.
“Based on the response we saw among the populace, I believe that our precise polls (results) would surpass the exit polls. The BJP is making a triumphant return to power in Delhi. “I express my gratitude to the people of Delhi,” Tiwari told the media report.
Delhi BJP head Virendraa Sachdeva attacked the AAP, claiming that his party was establishing the administration in the nation’s capital and that “AAP-da (tragedy)” was departing.
“I would want to congratulate the people of Delhi, who have showered the BJP with love and blessings today. Sachdeva told the media report, “Dilli main AAPda jaa rahi hai, BJP aa rahi hai (AAP-da is leaving and BJP is coming).”
The BJP leader responded to the AAP’s accusations by saying that anybody who cast phony ballots will be apprehended.
“Anyone who casts a fraudulent ballot will be apprehended. We’ve been saying this from day one, and it’s excellent that they were apprehended. The people of Delhi want growth and a government free from corruption.
Mohan Lal Badoli, the head of the Haryana BJP, predicted that the Delhi assembly elections will provide “historic” and “surprising” outcomes.
Badoli said that people will drive AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal out of Delhi after he offended Haryana residents.
Leaders of the AAP also said they were certain they would win the Delhi elections.
AAP leader and Delhi Urban Development Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj expressed confidence that the party would continue to hold power in Delhi, claiming that the party’s performance has consistently outperformed exit polls.
“This is the fourth assembly election that we are contesting in Delhi, after three previous elections…Exit polls in 2013 and 2015 had predicted our loss. We won more seats in 2020 than exit polls indicated. It is certain that we will get fewer seats in this election as well. “Exit polls have consistently indicated that the AAP would be receiving fewer seats,” Bhardwaj said.
“Wrong” is how Bhardwaj described the forecasts, adding that individuals haven’t spoken “out of fear” either.
“The BJP consistently muffles the voices of the average person, making them afraid to speak out. He said that exit polls never accurately reflect the AAP’s vote percentage.
Aman Arora and Sushil Gupta, two AAP leaders, also said they were certain that Arvind Kejriwal would be elected Delhi’s fourth chief minister. Delhi residents have benefited from Arvind Kejriwal’s efforts. Gupta said, “We will form the government and we will see results in favor of the Aam Aadmi Party.”
Priyanka Kakkar, an AAP spokesman, expressed confidence in the party’s win and said that exit polls had always been incorrect for the AAP.
“The AAP has consistently shown that exit polls are inaccurate. This time will be no exception to our history of forming the government with a resounding majority. Although some exit polls indicate that we would win, Kakkar advised everyone to hold off until February 8, when Arvind Kejriwal is expected to establish the government with a sizable majority.
According to AAP leader Reena Gupta, this is the fourth election in which she has taken part, and exit polls from 2013 and 2015 likewise indicated that the AAP received fewer seats than it did in reality.
“People of Delhi will be making Arvind Kejriwal their CM,” she said.
Sandeep Dikshit, the Congress contender for the New Delhi seat, stated, “Let’s wait till February 8th. We had a good fight.
Congressman Abhishek Dutt claimed to have seen a significant shift in his constituency and a decline in the AAP’s vote percentage.
His words, “Congress is regaining ground,”
