At the Secretariat’s entrance, AIADMK MLAs demonstrated with signs, calling for justice for the students involved in the sexual assault case at Anna University.

“We have doubts in the Anna University case, so only on behalf of AIADMK did our women advocates go to the court,” stated Edappadi Palaniswami, the Leader of the Opposition, in a news conference. Today, ganja and drug sales have expanded from rural to urban areas. Although it was preventable, Tamil Nadu has turned into a drug state.

Everyone has developed a drug addiction. Youth are particularly impacted. Women are experiencing sexual harassment as a result of drug usage. Children of older women are the only ones subjected to sexual harassment in this regime. The state of Tamil Nadu under this administration is disheartening. Speaker speech has replaced governor speech. These are the placards we have. Why is the government becoming tense? Those accused of sexual assault need to face the law.

“We also walked out,” said Vanathi Srinivasan, a BJP MLA. Our floor leader also brought up the subject, and we have also left since we don’t think a proper inquiry is taking place in the sexual assault case at Anna University. Why is the vice chancellor of Anna University being blamed?

I want to know whether there are any crimes occurring outdoors, even if it’s indoors. Who is in charge of that? They are only diverting attention with this. We must also be aware of Who’s that, sir? A fair inquiry is required. Because of the accused’s tight ties to influential politicians and even the deputy chief minister, we are pressing this matter. Therefore, we would want the CBI to look into this.

AIADMK “Everyone wants the same thing: Who is the sir?” remarked MLA C. Vijayabhaskar. Everyone at Anna University is completely aware of what transpired. The commissioner and the law minister also made contradictory claims. There’s another person involved. Because they have connections, the government is concealing. We want an open inquiry.

A CBI investigation. Following a petition filed by our counsel Varalakshmi, the Madras High Court established a Special Investigation Team. We need this. Our LoP brought up this topic in Assembly today, and we left. This is not a place for politics. Here, it is made quite evident that a pupil is impacted. of the oldest colleges in our country. Parents are afraid and unhappy about sending their girls to college. Justice is thus required right now. No plan. We have advocated on behalf of the impacted youngster. We’ll keep protesting.

G K Mani, a PMK MLA, stated: “The PMK leaves the legislature. The government at Anna University failed to act appropriately. Anyone who protests against the Anna University problem is highly condemned by us; it is deplorable that they have been imprisoned.

The incumbent DMK administration is expected to have difficulties throughout this session. The DMK administration has been accused by a number of political groups of being tardy to address the sexual assault issue at Anna University.
