Devendra Fadnavis targeted AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal
New Delhi: On Thursday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis attacked Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), accusing him of waging a “marathon of lies” and asserting that the guy who joined politics to combat corruption is now embroiled in significant frauds.
“Arvind Kejriwal has resumed his tirade of false statements. He is promising new things. At a public rally at Balbir Nagar here, Fadnavis told the crowd, “The person who came with the motive to end corruption did huge scams.”
The Fadnavis took aim at Kejriwal for a number of fresh pledges he made before the Delhi assembly elections, saying, “Once a person died and went to heaven, where Chitragupta started deliberating on his’sin’ and ‘virtue.'” A ‘ping’ was heard in the meanwhile, and the guy asked Chitragupta what it was.
In response to the question, Chitragupta said, “This sound is heard whenever a politician speaks lies during the Delhi election campaign.” ‘What happened?’ the guy questioned after ten minutes, when the sound had become steady. ‘Arvind Kejriwal’s speech has begun,’ Chitragupta responds.
Earlier in the day, Fadnavis said that the BJP will take control of the nation’s capital and voiced confidence that Delhi would vote out the AAP. Additionally, he charged the AAP with “corruption” and “lying.”
The chief minister of Maharashtra supported Praveen Nimesh, a BJP candidate running for the Gokal Pur Assembly seat.
“Delhi has already decided. The Delhi populace will support the BJP. The transformation in Delhi will be brought about by its women. The Delhi sisters have made the decision to bring the BJP administration and leave the phony Kejriwal government in place. Fadnavis told reporters here that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will head a BJP administration that would take power in Delhi.
Additionally, Fadnavis said that Kejriwal had betrayed social activist Anna Hazare by ignoring her in order to take over as Chief Minister.
The political war between the three main parties—the AAP, BJP, and Congress—has been more intense as the Delhi assembly elections draw near.
On February 5, Delhi will have a single round of voting, and on February 8, the results will be counted.
The Congress, which has controlled Delhi for 15 years in a row, has lost both of the most recent elections and has not won any seats. In comparison, the BJP only achieved eight seats in the 2020 assembly elections, while the AAP won 62 out of 70.
