The event happened during a court case involving Tahir Hussain and the riots in North East Delhi. Judge Pulastya Pramachala of Additional Sessions voiced her disapproval, saying that such abuse of video conferencing must be prevented.

Extra Sessions In voicing his disapproval, Judge (ASJ) Pulastya Pramachala said, “This is another glaring misuse of V/C, which has to be stopped.”

Advocate Mehmood Pracha came via video conference after the court had waited for him. Pracha suggested that a recording of his request for a 30-minute passover be made.

But in the February 14 ruling, the court said, “I do not find any kind of professionalism behind such conduct and submissions of Mr. Mehmood Pracha.”

His partner requested that they wait for Mehmood Pracha, the primary counsel, to come.

The court said that after waiting for a while, he just made his name appear; therefore, it gave Advocate Mohd. Hasan instructions. On the next day, witness Mukesh Tyagi will have one last chance to be cross-examined, subject to a fee.

“Thereafter, Mr. Mehmood Pracha appeared through V/C while walking in open land through a mobile phone, and thereafter, he continued appearing through V/C while being in a moving motor vehicle,” the order said by the court.

Citing the most recent remarks made by the Delhi High Court in the matter of Shobha Verma vs. Ashok Kapoor on January 30 about such an appearance via V/C, the court objected to such an appearance.

According to the court, I don’t remember the opportunity since attorney Mohd. Hasan was already informed that another one was being offered.

The court ordered that Anas’ defense attorney be present at the time of the call on the following day, without requesting anything like Passover, etc., and in accordance with the guidelines established by the Delhi High Court.

The accused, Anas, was also ordered by the court to provide the prosecution witness Rs. 2000 in diet money on the day of the next hearing.
