Delhi Police increases security and patrolling in other areas during the festive season
New Delhi: To guarantee public safety over the holiday season, police have stepped up patrols and installed security at marketplaces and other locations, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) South Ankit Chauhan on Monday.
“We have increased patrolling in markets and other areas with heavy foot traffic during the festive season,” DCP South Ankit Chauhan told ANI on Monday. Every evening, senior officers leave with more strength. In order to provide consumers a feeling of security, they inspect both individuals and the security equipment in markets.
Additionally, he said that as January 26 draws near, the police have strengthened the tenant-servant verification process.
“As January 26 draws near, we are also stepping up the tenant servant verification. “In the South District, we have a social media monitoring cell that closely monitors the spread of false information on social media,” DCP South Chauhan said.
On January 26, people celebrate Republic Day, which commemorates the adoption of India’s constitution and the 1950 republican transition. As part of the Republic Day festivities, states, union territories, and ministries of the Union government display their tableaux along the Kartavya Path every year. The topic for the tableaux on Republic Day 2025 has been determined to be “Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas.”
For the Republic Day celebration in 2025, 15 states and union territories have been chosen this year to display their tableaux on Kartavya Path. Bihar, Chandigarh, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu are among them.
