Delhi: No one is hurt as a truck hauling gravel strikes a wayside tree in South Moti Bagh

New Delhi: Early on Monday morning, a vehicle transporting gravel (crushed stone) from Rajasthan to Ghaziabad struck a roadside tree on Rao Tula Ram Marg in South Moti Bagh. The truck driver told the media that the cab driver’s attempt to pass and abrupt application of the brakes caused the collision.

“We were on our way to Ghaziabad from Rajasthan. A cabbie abruptly applied the brakes while attempting to pass. I maneuvered the vehicle in this way to defend the lives of the people inside the taxi since it was carrying passengers. The vehicle driver claimed that he ran away and that the cab had very minor damage.

A 3-year-old kid was sadly killed on December 12 after being hit by a Gramin Seva tempo close to the JJ Bandhu camp in the Vasant Kunj neighborhood of southwest Delhi.

After being taken to Fortis Hospital in Vasant Kunj, the attending physicians pronounced the kid dead.

The offending car was eventually located by the police, and Rohit, the driver, was taken into custody.
