When Sagar’s family told police that he had left a motel he was renting but had never returned home, the matter was first reported to Police Station (PS) Tilak Nagar. The family filed an abduction case since they were worried about his safety and had suspicions about several people.

The family continued to be actively engaged in the investigation since they knew the suspects, and many police teams were sent out for physical and technological monitoring. The primary suspects are still at large, although a number of others were taken into custody to be questioned. They are the subject of non-bailable warrants obtained by authorities.

An unidentified dead body (UIDB) was the subject of a murder complaint filed at Shamli district’s Police Station Kandla on March 27, 2025. The identity of the dead was verified as Sagar in the evening of April 2, 2025.

After the confirmation, Delhi Police worked with their UP colleagues, and a team from Police Station Tilak Nagar was sent to Shamli with Sagar’s relatives. In order to track down the accused and guarantee prompt action in the case, authorities are now actively sharing information with UP Police.
