Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence

New Delhi: Rekha Gupta visited Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his home in the nation’s capital on Saturday, only two days after taking the oath of office as Delhi Chief Minister. On February 20, the PM, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and many other NDA leaders attended the oath-taking ceremony at Ramlila Maidan, where they had previously met.

Gupta also met with Public Works Department (PWD) representatives earlier today to talk about repairing any damaged roads and enhancing the nation’s capital’s infrastructure.

In order to improve Delhi’s infrastructure, Chief Minister @gupta_rekha met with PWD department officials. They also thoroughly discussed all of the issues pertaining to the city’s traffic, damaged roads, and dug-up roads, and they gave instructions to the relevant officials,” read Delhi BJP’s X post.

In the meanwhile, Parvesh Verma, the PWD minister for Delhi, inspected the department’s projects from Bhairon Marg to Sarai Kale Khan, Ring Road.

He spoke with a variety of authorities and residents throughout his inspection in order to hear their complaints and resolve the issues.

In front of reporters, Verma said to the official, “Even though the official time is five years, you (the official) make sure it is good for ten to fifteen years.”

The minister was seen questioning an official about how traffic congestion is managed during road closures and about the 4-kilometer section of road that is being repaired. The officer told Verma that the work is done mostly at night and per lane.

AAP leader and former Delhi chief minister Atishi also wrote to CM Rekha Gupta to voice her displeasure that the NCT administration has not yet approved a plan to provide Rs 2,500 to women.

“Your government’s first cabinet meeting took place on February 20; however, the Rs 2,500 plan for women was not approved. In her letter, Atishi said, “The mothers and sisters of Delhi feel deceived since they trusted Modi ji’s assurance.

In addition, the AAP leader asked to meet with the chief minister of Delhi tomorrow, February 23, to talk about the matter.
