Everyone was guaranteed a safe and orderly experience thanks to the strict security measures in place.
As of Monday at midday, authorities said that over 12.5 million devotees have taken a holy plunge on the third and final Shahi Snan of Maha Kumbh.
According to an official statement, a comprehensive police and security setup was implemented around the Maha Kumbh fair area to provide a seamless and safe bathing experience for devotees, saints, mahatmas, and Kalpvasis.
At key locations like intersections, pontoon bridges, Akhara routes, and bathing ghats, security personnel from a variety of forces, including the fire department, PAC, STF, ATS, NSG commandos, paramilitary forces, traffic police, women’s police, civil police, traffic police, and bomb disposal squads, were stationed.

Drones and CCTV cameras were placed across the Mahakumbh Mela region to improve monitoring, and the Integrated Command Control Center was used to monitor them.
Real-time safety instructions were broadcast over the Public Address System, reminding followers to take precautions while bathing and to adhere to security procedures.
Thirty-six parking zones were established to handle the large number of tourists, making it easy for devotees to stroll to the bathing ghats.
Senior police and administrative officials directly managed security and crowd management, staying in the fair area all day. Those keeping an eye on the preparations were Divisional Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant, Police Commissioner Tarun Gaba, IG Prayagraj Zone Prem Gautam, ADG Prayagraj Zone Bhanu Bhaskar, DIG Vaibhav Krishna, Mela Adhikari Vijay Kiran Anand, and SSP Rajesh Dwivedi.
