Congress MP accuses KCR of ‘betraying’ Dalits

Hyderabad: In response to remarks made by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader KT Rama Rao, Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy said that previous Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had “deceived” Dalits by not granting them the position of Chief Minister as promised when Telangana was formed.

KT Rama Rao has previously said in a statement that “Deception, Destruction, and Distraction are the 3D summary of Congress governance in 2024.”

“BRS is dishonest since, according to the pledge made by KCR, they do not want any authority and rather that it be given to Dalits before Telangana was formed. Therefore, it is dishonest to deny Dalits CM positions. In an interview with ANI, Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy said, “They also promised 2 lakh jobs, which is also the main agenda for Telangana’s formation; not fulfilling this is also a deception.”

“The second is devastation, which is what the Polavaram Project is since they sent 1.5 lakh crore without consulting experts. The Telangana chief minister was staying at the farmhouse at the time; thus, he was not seen in the secretariat even ten times. This is known as distraction,” Kiran Kumar said.

KT Rama Rao had already called on the state administration to convince the federal government to build a monument in the nation’s capital for former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao.

“Dr. Manmohan Singh was an excellent economist and is respected by people of all political parties,” Rao said. The resolution approved by the Assembly today was backed by our party. We also value the government’s decision to erect a monument to Dr. Singh at this location. Nonetheless, we remind the Telangana Congress administration that PV Narasimha Rao was the first prime minister to serve India honorably and implement meaningful changes.

He is regrettably the only deceased prime minister without a monument in the nation’s capital. “We have urged the Union government to establish a memorial for PV Narasimha Rao and have demanded that the state government also pass a resolution in the Assembly to honor him,” he said.
